Live English is an idea, a philosophy. It is based on a simple concept which is formed on a single question.

Simple question but the answer is not so simple.
Talk with foreigners.
This brings a new set of problems and questions.
How? Where do I find them? I can’t just approach a stranger on the street.
No, you can’t.
The best way to improve your English (I have been asked the question a thousand times) is to go abroad and immerse yourself in a country where English is spoken. That, however, is easier said than done. It’s not an easy thing to pack your life up in a suitcase and head off, leaving everything behind.
At Only Live University, we bring English to you. The teachers are all native speakers from interesting and exotic foreign countries. Ha ha, at least, I like to think I am exotic. (I am a New Zealander-have you ever met one before?)

Who will our program suit?
This program is tailored for any person who wants to go offshore to study or a person interested in foreign culture or working with those from foreign cultures.

How many levels are there?
There are four. The course ranges from survival skills in week one to the understanding of American cultural concepts in week four. Weeks two and three deal with critical thinking in academic work, the ability to be creative with your English. Famous works of art (the Mona Lisa for example) and literature (such as the works of Shakespeare) are used to stimulate your English beyond simple concepts. Real communication is sometimes abstract so we talk about abstract concepts too

How long is the course?
Each level contains 30 hours of class work. The course may be taken on a full time basis (one level per week) or on a weekend basis. Students may choose to take as many levels as they feel comfortable with.

Why is our study material distinctive?
Live Only University uses art, literature and culture as its foundation so naturally the books and courses are, quite literally, very colorful. The most interesting thing about our books is that they provide you with a starting point from which you may continue to express your ideas in a creative fashion during presentations and communication practice.

What about the teachers?
Only native speakers will teach the course with the help of a Chinese assistant who is there to help you as well as the foreign teachers. We are confident that our teachers will give you a great insight into both language and culture, because without one, you cannot conquer the other.
